The Western Australian Museum is positioning itself through scientific and academic excellence, public programs and relevant exhibitions to keep pace with the rapidly changing face of Western Australia. The Museum has made a major contribution to the collection, conservation and research of the State’s natural and social history, maritime heritage and the cultural heritage of Aboriginal communities in Western Australia.The Western Australian Museum is part of the Culture and Arts Portfolio, brought together by the Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA). DCA is the State Government agency responsible for the Government’s support of management and development of arts and culture in Western Australia.

Conditions
This is a part time (0.6FTE or 45 hours per fortnight), fixed term vacancy, for a period of 4 months, with a possibility of extension. There will also be a Pool running for a period of 18 months from the initial appointment.Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool from which full-time, part-time, casual, fixed term or permanent appointments may be made.

Location
This position is located at the Museum’s Collections and Research Centre (CRC) at 49 Kew Street, Welshpool.
