MAAS operates three NSW venues, the Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo, Sydney Observatory in Millers Point, and the Museums Discovery Centre in Castle Hill. MAAS is also planning for a New Museum in Parramatta, due to open in 2022.

As Research Manager you are a member of the Curatorial Team, you will build the Museum’s links with individual scholars, authors, researchers, academic institutions and funding bodies to support MAAS as the leading museum of applied arts and sciences. Working collaboratively with teams across MAAS you will develop a research strategy to meet MAAS’ strategic and business objectives, set the direction and overall long and short term priorities for research initiatives, including participation in the Australian Research Council and linkage projects as well as generating new ideas for research initiatives and academic collaborations and partnerships.

Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably at post graduate level combined with a proven record of scholarly achievement
