Duties

The Research Project Officer provides historical research and administrative assistance to the historian of the medical legacies of the Vietnam War, particularly in compiling research material, undertaking oral history interviews, preparation of transcripts and associated material for the project. This officer also manages the administration including records management, the project budget and reporting for the project.

Eligibility

An honours degree or higher degree in history in relevant fields is highly desirable. Specialist knowledge or expertise through research and publication on the Vietnam War, medical history or related fields would also be an advantage.

Notes

Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified task. This position will be filled as a non-ongoing specified task, until the completion of the project, expected in June 2020. The successful candidate will be expect to commence in early January 2016.
