About the role
Join the retail team at the Australian Museum (AM) and contribute to the growth of the best loved Museum shop in Australia.
Support the AM’s growing retail business by providing professional and knowledgeable customer service and related support services to enable the efficient operation of the retail shop and order fulfillment for the online shop. You will be accountable for achieving daily sales targets, restocking as required and ensuring presentation standards for the shop are maintained.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in a quality retail environment.
- Full availability across all retail hours including weekdays, weekends, late nights, public holidays and school holidays.
Knowledge & Experience
- Proven high-quality services skills and ability to achieve targets.
- Use of Retail Express or similar POS software system
- Daily stock monitoring, picking and restocking.
- Visual merchandising skills including the display, cleaning and rotation of stock.
- Cleaning, tidying and general housekeeping of retail shop and storage spaces.
- Communicate effectively and work as part of a team with other staff and with the Retail Management team.
The successful applicant will be subject to a national criminal records check.
