Museums Victoria is seeking experienced Retail Assistants (Casual – Multiple positions) to work across multiple Museums Victoria Retail sites, generating sales and engaging with visitors.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The position is accountable for maximising profitability for MV Retail by generating sales and delivering high-level customer service.
The successful applicants will have:
- Demonstrated experience in meeting sales targets and retail KPI’s and maximising profitability within the retail industry.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering high-level customer service and engaging with customers/visitors
- Demonstrated and well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, time manage and refocus on tasks in a busy retail environment, while still keeping the customer as the number one priority.
- Demonstrated experience in floor stock maintenance and upkeep to ensure our retail inventory is maintained to a high standard and to reduce the amount of breakages/write-offs that occur.
- Demonstrated experience in working within the retail industry, operating POS systems, handling money, assisting with end of day reconciliations, rolling monthly stock takes, daily replenishment and other general tasks within the retail industry
