Museum Victoria is seeking Retail Assistants to help generate sales and deliver rewarding experiences to our visitors.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This position is accountable for generating sales by providing high levels of customer service and specialised retail knowledge to all visitors

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated track record of customer service excellence;
  2. Substantial experience in retail sales;
  3. Demonstrated ability to operate a computer point of sale system;
  4. Demonstrated ability to handle money securely with sound experience completing end of day reconciliations;
  5. Demonstrated well developed communication skills, both written and oral;
  6. Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member within a diverse organisation.
  7. The successful incumbent is required to undergo a Working with Children Check and National Police Records Check and be assessed as suitable (new employees are required to meet this cost).
