Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking a Retail Product Manager is to manage an integrated stock purchasing strategy for Museum Victoria retail outlets to maximise profitability for multiple sites.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The position is accountable for merchandise planning, purchasing and monitoring inventory for the retail outlets at all Museums Victoria venues ensuring that all plans adhere to Museums Victoria procedures and guidelines.
Notable skills and experiences:
- Demonstrated experience in developing innovative, high-quality custom or in house merchandise with proven sales success.
- Demonstrated experience in merchandise planning, retail trend analysis and business planning to achieve sales targets and business growth.
- Demonstrated experience in purchasing for multi venue sites, including an online shop and creating and generating reports to influence strategy.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory analysis, monitoring sales, determining appropriate margins and identifying hot sellers, aged stock and developing a merchandise plan in support of these metrics.
- Demonstrated experience in influencing and negotiating with suppliers and other external stakeholders to secure the most profitable and high quality retail outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in leading projects and activities that will bring the best business return for the business, proactively researching new prospects and actively sharing this information with the wider team.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining retail procedures and processes.
