The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a visitor focused individual to join the Museum to lead a team responsible for the development and delivery of our school based learning programs, including curriculum design, face to face and digital learning programs and resources.

This position will establish and maintain partnerships with education related organisations, coordinate teacher professional development initiatives and identify opportunities to engage general audiences. The position is an active member of the Visitor Experience business unit and works to ensure the visitor experience and engagement are at the forefront of our work.

The successful candidate will have experience building and developing programs that satisfy audience needs. You will have a solid record of achievement in a Museum theatre, teaching or similar role and a comprehensive understanding of education theory and practice.

You will have previous management experience, leading teams and managing resources to deliver quality outcomes. Under your leadership, the learning services team will be responsible for producing and delivering innovative curriculum relevant education programs and you will provide advice and direction on best practice engagement for the Visitor Experience section. A flexible, agile and innovative approach will be highly regarded.
