Eric Barker, Science Circus fires up Katherine, Katherine Times, 28 August 2016

Crowds streamed through the doors of the Katherine High School gymnasium on Tuesday evening for the grand finale of the Shell Questacon Science Circus.

About 650 Katherine school children and their families turned up to witness the presenters hold fire in their hands, lie on a nail bed and suspend beach balls in mid air as well as several weird and wonderful exhibits.

The Circus has been travelling to schools in towns and Indigenous communities across the Northern Territory trying to excite students on the world of science.

This week has been Katherine’s turn with the group visiting several schools on Monday and Tuesday finishing up at the Katherine High School where they held their only public exhibition in the town.
