Kids will be able to clamber aboard an ocean research vessel and explore the world beneath the waves in an immersive Scitech exhibition set to open later this year.
The interactive display, now under construction in Scitech’s workshop with the help of a $3.5 million commitment from the Minderoo Foundation, will take visitors through five marine zones — coast, coral reef, kelp forest, deep sea and polar seas.
Scitech chief executive John Chappell said oceans covered 71 per cent of the planet and were essential for life on Earth.
