Duties
Under general direction, the Security Officer is responsible for implementing Memorial security and a range of building and asset services. The work involves: advising and reporting on security matters, monitoring and performing security services and providing a point of contact for all building and associated services. Security Officers provide mobile security patrols across all Memorial sites, monitor security systems, staff critical access points, escort contractors, visitors and guests and implement security arrangements. In emergencies, the Security Officer may act as Deputy House Warden and assume responsibility for visitors, staff, buildings and contents.
Eligibility
This is a security assessed position (Negative Vetting 2). The successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain the required clearance. A current driver’s licence is mandatory.
Notes
This is a shift work position, requiring regular weekend work. You must ensure that in applying for this role you are committed to being on duty regularly over weekends and Public Holidays.
