We are looking for an authentic and bold Senior Accountant who is interested in joining a leading NSW Government agency focused on creating a living future for the past so that our visitors can experience Sydney’s past as if they had lived it themselves.

This is a targeted recruitment activity is conducted in accordance with Rule 26 of the Government Sector Employment Rules 2014 in relation to the employment of eligible persons. The role will be based at The Mint, Sydney’s CBD and the Western Sydney Records Centre, Kingswood but will also be required to work across other locations as directed.

Sydney Living Museums (SLM) cares for a group of 12 of the most important historic houses, gardens and museums in NSW on behalf of the people of NSW.

Our partner – The State Archives and Records Authority of New South Wales (NSW State Archives and Records) is one of Australia’s pre-eminent Archives and Records Authorities with a vast collection of historical records and archives dating back to the European settlement of Australia in 1788. With responsibilities for the development, preservation and access for the State’s archives, NSW State Archives and Records is also responsible for managing and storing over 640 kilometres of semi-permanent Government records for NSW public sector offices.

What you’ll do with us
This role prepares key aspects of budgets, financial reports and maintenance of business system for the Executive, Team Management, Trustees and NSW Treasury to ensure Sydney Living Museums and State Archives & Records Authority manages its resources prudently, complying with the Public Finance & Audit Act 1983, relevant statutory and accounting practices.
