You will work collaboratively to deliver one of the major components of the Queensland Museum Collection & Research Centre, Hendra Renewal Project. The Hendra Mould Remediation Project requires the undertaking of specific work associated with project focused delivery, specifically in the area of storage upgrades, rehousing collections and mould remediation to recognised industry standards. The main focus of the project will be the mitigation and remediation of mould; specifically to physically clean, label, rehouse, relocate and store various types of collection material located at the Collection and Research Centre. Collections include Geology, Palaeontology, Corals (part), Archaeology and large items from the Cultures & Histories collection. This will involve managing and updating collection documentation and location control systems (such as Vernon Collection Management System) cleaning, relocating and storing the collection items as well as general auditing.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

Tertiary qualifications (preferably postgraduate) in museum studies, archaeology, anthropology, geosciences, conservation or another closely related discipline.

It will be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19
