Duties
The Senior Paper Conservator contributes to the professional conservation, management, storage and preservation of items from the National Collection. The work includes supervision of the on-going survey, treatment, preservation and maintenance programs for a range of paper based materials including documents, photographs and works of art on paper. The senior conservator also devises, develops and implements new or improved conservation processes and techniques; documents work performed; supervises staff, contractors and volunteers; prepares items for exhibition, loan and access; and participates in Section and Memorial management activities.

Eligibility
Tertiary qualifications in conservation are required, and 3-4 years of relevant experience is highly desireable.

Notes
Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance.
