Museums Victoria seeks an experienced and talented Senior Exhibition Designer to engage in preparation of concepts, design development, specifications and documentation for permanent exhibition projects, temporary and touring exhibitions, programs, events and commercial projects. The designer will provide high levels of creative input, team leadership and be a key point of contact for all stages of the design process.

About the position
The position is accountable for development, presentation and delivery of exhibition designs, supporting project teams to deliver captivating visitor experiences on schedule, on budget and efficiently, to the highest standards of innovative creativity and design excellence.
Notable skills and experiences:
- Highly developed conceptual, spatial and creative skills and demonstrated ability to prototype, test and develop engaging exhibitions and visitor experiences.
- Knowledge of the role of design and interpretive programs in a museum or similar setting.
- Experience and skill in communicating design ideas through the generation of sketches, renderings, models, computer modelling and similar.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with experience in providing design leadership within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in documentation for exhibition projects using CAD and related computer technologies.
- Considerable experience in identifying, commissioning and managing external consultants and contractors.
- Demonstrated staff supervision, project management and organisational skills and the ability to develop, implement and review new systems and procedures.
