ABOUT THE POSITION:
Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Lawyer to join its Legal and Risk Department. The primary responsibility of the Senior Lawyer will be the delivery of legal and risk advice across Museums Victoria, including advice and support in relation to:
- Commercial legal matters, including contracts and procurement, intellectual property, construction projects and information technology.
- Management of museum collection items and touring exhibitions.
- Employment, industrial relations and workplace health and safety.
- Insurance advice.
- Litigation management and dispute resolution.
- Statutory interpretation and public law.
We are seeking an experienced lawyer who is a strong communicator, highly organised, works collaboratively and provides accurate and practical legal advice in relation to highly complex matters.
The successful applicant will hold a Victorian legal practising certificate and at least 4 years post-admission experience.
