Position Details

A unique institution at the heart of Melbourne’s iconic meeting place, Federation Square, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) is Australia’s national museum of film, TV, videogames, digital culture and art. Welcoming over 1.3m visitors in 2016/17, ACMI is the most visited museum of the moving image in the world and the third most visited museum in Australia.

The Victorian Government recently announced an additional $31.6m in the 2018 -2019 budget to fund our redevelopment. In addition to developing designs for a major physical and technological overhaul of the Federation Square attraction. The ACMI Development Team will be raising $5m to support the project and is looking for a talented philanthropy professional to help them achieve their target.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Philanthropy Officer to drive forward the growth of ACMI’s philanthropy program, with an emphasis on the identification and cultivation of individual donors and the drafting of compelling and targeted applications for support from Trusts and Foundations and other public organisations. Working in close collaboration with the Director, Development, the team and other departments within ACMI the position will play a critical role in ensuring ACMI’s ongoing sustainability through the management and development of its fundraising and philanthropic partnerships.

You will bring your extensive fundraising and philanthropic management experience to this role with the ability to manage strategic relationships to drive donor growth.  You will have experience in developing funding proposals with a track record in executing successful cultivation strategies with individual donors.
