The Australian Museum (AM) operates within the NSW Department of Premier & Cabinet. The AM is the first museum in Australia and was founded in 1827. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. The AM holds more than 21 million objects of biological, geological and cultural collections and develops programs, exhibitions and school and community education initiatives onsite, online and offsite. About the role
The Senior Policy Officer manages and coordinates the development and implementation of a range of policy initiatives to contribute to the delivery of policy initiatives that supports the AM’s commitments.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant experience, preferably gained through the completion of a business related tertiary qualification and supplemented by practical experience in a diverse and complex operating environment.
- Demonstrated experience in policy development and providing high level policy advice, including recommendations for policy and program reform.
- Knowledge and experience in order to deliver the Key Accountabilities and perform to the Focus Capabilities outlined in the Role Description.
