Museum Victoria is seeking a Senior Programs Officer to develop and deliver engaging and inspiring public programs.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The position is accountable for developing and delivering public programs which contribute to the achievement of Museum Victoria’s strategic directions.

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. Experience in research, development and delivery of programs for varied audiences
  2. Good understanding of learning theory and practice for broad audiences
  3. Good understanding of Community Development Practices with a particular interest and understanding of issues associated with racism, social inclusion, diversity, multiculturalism, refugee and asylum seekers.
  4. Sound knowledge of immigration, history, cultural diversity and heritage, in a museum context
  5. Proven experience in events development and delivery including a sound knowledge of event logistics
  6. Able to work independently and as part of a team
  7. The successful applicant is required to undergo, and for new employees meet the cost of Working with Children Check.
