Museum Victoria is seeking a Senior Programs Officer – STEM, Scienceworks to contribute to the audience experience through effective program delivery at Scienceworks. Catholic Education Commission Victoria (CECV) has formed a strategic partnership with Museum Victoria (MV) focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and digital programs. The purpose of this position is to develop and deliver engaging curriculum-based education programs with a STEM and digital focus for Catholic schools and teachers from Prep to Year 12 in the Western region.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The position is accountable for developing and delivering education programs and professional learning opportunities with a STEM and digital focus, which contribute to achieving the strategic directions of MV and CECV.
Notable skills and experiences:
- Experience in research, development and delivery of STEM and digital programs for education audiences.
- Proven ability to develop innovative curriculum materials for teachers and students, while meeting the needs of diverse learners.
- Experience in developing incursions or outreach programs that meet the needs of students and teachers.
- Sound knowledge of the curriculum areas of STEM and digital fields in Prep to Year 12 and awareness of current issues in an education and museum context.
- Proven ability to engage with and present to relevant stakeholders including students, teachers, professional teaching organisations, and/or school communities and to communicate with and present to a broad range of individuals and groups.
- Capacity to use insights and expertise derived from programming and professional development activities to critically reflect on and evaluate professional practice to enhance the development and delivery of programs.
- Takes responsibility for own performance and works collegiately and effectively in teams and individual situations.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects, while ensuring that targets and objectives are achieved within agreed timeframes.
- The successful applicant is required to undergo a Working with Children Check and be assessed as suitable (new employees are required to meet this cost) or have current VIT registration.
