THE OPPORTUNITY:
Museums Victoria, Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Strategic Capital Programs.
This position is accountable for developing and managing strategic capital projects as part of a broad program for the future development of MV’s facilities and activities. The position will operate within MV policy and strategy guidelines as well as according to broader Victorian Government standards.
Working with the Strategic Capital Programs team, some core functions of this position include:
- Work with MV executive and staff to develop project management plans in order to align Melbourne Museum’s facilities, spaces and public offerings with long-term strategic service delivery objectives.
- Assist with the development of government business cases for major capital projects for portfolio consideration in annual State Government budget processes.
- Coordinate and administer project governance groups for key MV projects, including providing regular project reports and updates.
Relevant skills and attributes:
- Proven experience in delivering complex, high-profile building within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Proficient in project management methodology, preferably in a government environment.
- Proven ability to manage staff and financial resources, including generating regular reports.
