We are seeking energetic retail sales assistants to join our retail team. Our ideal applicant will: – Have at least 12 months of retail sales experience – Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment – Demonstrate drive and have the ability to work both independently and within a team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide all visitors to the store and The Queensland Museum with the highest level of customer service. This includes basic visitor information and all exhibition and public program information for the museum to ensure visitors have the best possible experience at the museum.
- Manage own work plan to meet the brand, vision and strategic and operational objectives
- Achieve sales and services targets for Queensland Museum Shop.
- Perform standard retail functions including the processing of sales and returns, end of day banking procedures, stock monitoring (including stocktaking, pricing and restocking), product returns, inventory maintenance and resolution of customer queries and complaints
- Undertake visual merchandising activities under the direction of the Retail Manager and the Visual Merchandising Plan.
- Processing of online and mail-order sales
- Undertake basic cleaning duties to ensure excellent shop display standards are maintained
- Assist in the setup and de-installation of in-store events and satellite exhibition shops
- Take all safety measures when performing duties to ensure the safety of yourself and others, and comply with Queensland Museum’s OH&S policies, procedures and Government legislation.
