Once in a century opportunity to help us tell their stories.

Are you interested in history? Would you like to help us make it?

The Australian War Memorial is currently undergoing the most significant redevelopment project since it first opened its doors in 1941. We need someone to tell the story of this redevelopment, connecting audiences across Australia, and our own staff, to a shared vision for the future of the Memorial.

You’ll need to be an experienced professional communicator. You’ll prepare messages about the changes and you’ll know where to put those messages for best effect. You’ll help deliver a first-class communications strategy and plan for internal and external audiences. You’ll understand the media, including social media, and be able to tailor messages accordingly. You’ll need to get to know our stakeholders well, and you’ll need to manage them carefully and sensitively.

This program is unique. It’s a one-off. It’s a fantastic opportunity to show off your skills to the nation. You’ll work with people who are the best in the business. Memorial staff are focused and will help, guide, mentor and coach you to success.

You’ll need to apply NOW for this opportunity, it won’t be available again.

We are looking forward to reading your application and resume, and hopefully having you on the team.
