The National Museum of Australia established the Cultural and Corporate Shared Services Centre (CCSSC) in 2017 to provide a range of corporate and business services to small agencies across the APS, particularly in the arts sector. The CCSSC provides high quality, needs-based services for partner agencies including finance, payroll, ICT, business systems, and media services as well as joint procurement where relevant.  The CCSSC is committed to working collaboratively and transparently with all its partner agencies.

The successful candidate will provide quality governance, reporting and secretariat duties, including relationship management of participating agencies.

The key duties of the position include:

The Strategy and Engagement Manager works closely with a range of staff across the Museum as well as partner agencies and external vendors to coordinate and deliver corporate services.  In undertaking this work, the Manager ensures effective governance and accountability of the services provided.

As the Strategy and Engagement Manager you will: 

  • Establish and maintain exceptional governance frameworks, policies and processes to support the CCSSC’s corporate services.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Executive, senior managers and external stakeholders and act as the central point of contact in the CCSSC Office for external agencies.
  • Prepare papers and coordinate Governance board meetings with CEOs of partner agencies, quarterly and six monthly performance reports for partners agencies, report to the Museum’s Executive and prepare Council papers as required, maintain issues and risk registers.
  • Schedule and project manage forward schedule of service changes for partner agencies in consultation with internal business areas and external vendors.
  • Provide reporting on service levels for services provided, agency usage and capacity trending for corporate services, and undertake annual agency surveys.
  • Work with service areas to monitor and continuously improve services quality for partner agencies.
  • Liaise with new agencies interested in onboarding, and develop costings and services proposals as required.
  • Undertake other duties as required.
