About the Role
The Systems Administrator supports AM’s ICT infrastructure, cyber security and provided system administration technical support for applications across the Australian Museum. This role will also provide technical support, problem management, technical support of CRM / Asset Management systems and other enabling technologies
Key accountabilities
- To provide server, networks and AV management with external providers, with ongoing performance tuning, upgrades, resource optimisation as required, with application administration including new deployment
- To provide technical support for CRM and asset management systems, including working with application owners on deployment and administration
- To assist in monitoring, reviewing and analysing security events, incidents and tickets, detect and respond to security alerts
- To assist with Incident response in the event of a security breach or a cyber-attack
- To assist and identify technology-related risks including in information protection and cyber security areas and in collaboration with the other team members, proactively work on implementation mitigation measures to improve cyber security posture and compliance with NSW Government policies
- Develop and maintain system documentation including work instructions, using resources provided
- Investigate and resolve escalated incidents and ongoing problems arising from the ICT Support team
Essential Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in ICT, Business or the arts and cultural sector.
- Cyber Security industry based certifications is highly regarded
- Experience in administration of a hybrid IT systems environment encompassing essential Windows Services (AD/DC, Exchange, VPN, SQL and application servers) integrated with Microsoft365/Azure infrastructure; this includes ability to create and manage group policies, centralized updates and devices using Microsoft Endpoint/Intune services
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience with support management with an ability liaise with a broad range of internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Essential Eight model knowledge and experience in implementation of cyber security controls defined in this model t
- System administration on time critical systems, and experiences of developing effective relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders and external vendors?
- Understanding ITIL processes and experience in following the best practice in IT service management
- Demonstrated experience in implementation and administration of IT security controls and hardening existing cyber security posture of IT systems in a medium size organisation
- Good understanding of WANs/LANs and Routing and experience in managing corporate networks
- Good knowledge of CRM andAsset Management systems
