Museum Victoria is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain and improve specialist digital infrastructure relating to the delivery of media based interactives and audio visual content for the Digital Media Systems department.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The position is accountable for the day to day administration, operation and improvement of digital media delivery systems across all public venues including streaming content online and to portable devices
Notable skills and experiences:
- Demonstrated experience in the management of information technology infrastructure including the implementation and support of computer networks, security, backup regimes and the management of server systems.
- Demonstrated experience in the operation and management of multiple computer operating systems including at a minimum multiple versions of Microsoft Windows, and Apple OS/X and the bulk deployment of end user computer systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency in the Python scripting language and at least one other programming environment.
- A demonstrated understanding of and experience working with the principles of project management.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, including recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
- Experience in the operation of digital media devices in a digital signage or exhibition context including solid state media playback devices, displays and touch screens
- Ability to produce and manage technical documentation.
- An acceptance and understanding of relevant industrial standards best practices and legislation including Occupational Health and Safety laws
