Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking a Systems and Infrastructure Administrator to contribute to the implementation, support and on-going development of Technology Strategy and Delivery systems and infrastructure including servers, telecommunications and identity and access management. This position is responsible for the effective implementation of projects and the provision of efficient and timely support for departmental activities. Museums Victoria’s governance framework. It will establish and implement effective business systems and operational procedures for the Governance team, Museums Victoria executive, Museums Board of Victoria and board committees.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This position is responsible for the effective implementation of projects and the provision of efficient and timely support for departmental activities. Museums Victoria’s governance framework. It will establish and implement effective business systems and operational procedures for the Governance team, Museums Victoria executive, Museums Board of Victoria, and board committees.

Skills and experience required:

  1. Demonstrated experience and proven ability to provide maintenance of existing core infrastructure and the implementation of new ICT systems and storage both on premises in the cloud.
  2. Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the administration of Microsoft servers, storage and application environments on premises and in the cloud.
  3. General understanding and conceptual knowledge of cybersecurity standards, risks, mitigations and remediation and their practical application to achieve risk-managed ICT.
  4. Demonstrated experience working amongst teams at a senior level, together with the ability to collaboratively resolve problems to achieve desired outcomes and to deliver customer-focused and responsive services.
  5. Broad experience administering and contributing to technical, cybersecurity and business projects including assistance with procurement, the ability to negotiate outcomes with key stakeholders, report progress and deliver on agreed outcome within budget and on time.
  6. Institutes effective choices and innovations which make a step-change in the performance of their workgroup. Plans own schedules and resources so that their own tasks are completed by the required time. Shows judgement in escalations.
  7. Customer service focused, with excellent oral and written skills, including preparation of reports and experience creating, maintaining and following technical procedures.
