Team Leader – Offsite Confectionary Production
Sovereign Hill is a dynamic group of museums presenting the mining, social, cultural and environmental heritage of the Ballarat region and its impact on Australia’s history.
The Team Leader, Offsite Confectionery Production manages the team at the offsite confectionery factory in producing confectionery for Sovereign Hill stores, events, online business and Wholesale customers. The Team Leader collaborates with the Head onsite Confectioner, ensuring standards, recipes and processes are consistent and to a high standard, acting as the designated Food Safety Supervisor at SHMA.
The successful applicant must:
- Have a minimum of twelve months experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably food manufacturing) in a Leading Hand, Team Leader or Supervisor role
- Demonstrate understanding and commitment to continuous improvement
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of the implementation of Health Department requirements and
- A.C.C.P. principles including food safety standards and processing systems
- Solid understanding and experience in applying GMP’s
- Experience with quality assurance programs and an understanding of the importance of consistency
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet challenging
- Basic to intermediate computer skills including the use of email, word processing and spreadsheets
- Demonstrate ability to understand, create and implement production scheduling
- Hold a current Food Handling and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is essential
- Qualifications in Food Handling, Food Manufacturing, Food Science and Technology or Confectionary making at a Certificate IV level or higher is highly desirable
- Hold a valid Driver’s license
- Have level 2 First Aid
- Forklift driver’s license preferred
