Team Leader, Storeroom operations
Australia’s largest public museum organisation is offering a full-time ongoing opportunity as Team Leader, Stock room within the Museums Victoria (‘MV’ Retail department. The purpose of this position is to manage the stock room and inventory for Museums Victorias (‘MV’) multiple Retail Stores.

About The Position
The position is responsible for managing retail inventory/stock to support the MV Retail businesses.
Key Duties include
- Manage the organisation and arrangement of multiple storerooms. Ensuring stock is well kept and maintained, organised efficiently, minimising loss for the company through effective stock management. Monitor storeroom security and safety and take appropriate actions as required.
- Assist the Senior Retail Team with developing stock procurement plans, replenishment, and buying. To support everyday business, temporary exhibitions, promotions and events.
- Manage the stock delivery schedule for multiple sites, ensuring stock is scheduled to arrive to support daily replenishment and key events. That stock is processed efficiently, within a timely manner and stored appropriately.
- Manage the processing, and movement of stock for multiple sites. Including receiving in inventory, internal transfers, price adjustments, write offs, sales and promotional activities.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in inventory management including but not limited to – stock receiving, transferring and processing. The successful applicant will have skills in excel, POS and inventory management systems and reporting. They will have a high degree of pride, accuracy and efficiency in their work, workspace and the management of Retail’s inventory. They will work collaboratively with the wider Retail Team such as the Retail Product Managers, The Retail Operations Manager and the Store Room Coordinator.
