As one of Sydney’s most visited museums, the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) is committed to being a world leader in maritime history, sharing the national maritime story across Australia and providing a must-visit museum experience. Starting with the opening of the ANMM’s Warships Pavilion, the museum is undergoing a major onsite transformation. The Australian National Maritime Museum is seeking talented people with various skills and experience who are interested in temporary (non-ongoing) work in one of our Sydney office.
Most positions are office based and may be filled at the APS 2-6 levels ($48,120 – $86,224) or Executive 1 and 2 levels ($94,339 – $123,358). Roles vary and are diverse across all areas in the ANMM. Such roles may include customer service, people management, project management, conservation, registration, interpretation and design, analysis, operations, change management, ICT, statistical, human resources, payroll, sales, retail, marketing, sponsorship, foundation and philanthropy, tourism and lots more. The positions will depend on the demands of the work area and the ANMM work program.

Employment contracts may vary from a few weeks to up to 18 months depending on the business requirement of the ANMM. Often these positions are required to be filled at short notice. The positions may be Full Time, Part Time or Casual. Casual positions are of an intermittent nature with hours and working days varying as required.
