We chat with the leader of the research ship’s current mission.

The CSIRO’s flagship vessel RV Investigator is currently on a journey around the northern Indian Ocean, investigating undersea landscapes that have never been seen before and discovering new species on an almost daily basis.

Cosmos chats to Voyage Chief Scientist Dr Tim O’Hara, Museums Victoria Research Institute’s senior curator of marine invertebrates, about the journey and what they’re hoping to see.
