ABOUT THE POSITION:

The position is accountable for the temporary and travelling exhibitions program, leading the delivery of consistently high quality travelling and temporary exhibitions at Museums Victoria and other venues locally, nationally and internationally, building and maintaining strong relationships with exhibition providers and hosts.

Notable skills and experiences:

  1. Extensive experience and record of achievement in managing travelling exhibitions (incoming and outbound) for a public facility such as museum or gallery.
  2. Lead integrated travelling and temporary exhibitions planning, resource and issues management (including occupational health and safety), evaluation and analysis, and continuous improvement processes across MV venues.
  3. High level communication and interpersonal skills, including evidence of managing performance, complex teams and networks
  4. Extensive experience in designing and briefing large and complex projects, including business analysis, budgets and resources, and a record of leading staff to deliver the planned projects intended outputs.
