Victorian Goldfields closer to world heritage listing, ABC Listen, 31 January 2025

The home of Victoria’s world famous gold rush in the 1850s is a step closer to gaining UNESCO World Heritage status.

The Victorian Goldfields have been formally added to the tentative list and could soon join Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and the Sydney Opera House on the official World Heritage list.
