Visions update

Following the transfer of the Visions of Australia touring exhibitions program from the Office for the Arts to the Australia Council, CAMD and its members wrote to the Minister expressing concerns that the remit of the program would be narrowed.

The Federal Minister for the Arts has assured CAMD museums that ‘the intent of the Visions of Australia progam remains intact and that linkages with all collecting institutions, including museums, are maintained and strengthened’ (correspondence 16 October 2012).

The 39th round of Visions funding has now opened. Applications close 30 November 2012.
