The role offers you the chance to work with the public; enhancing the exhibitions, shows and tours we offer, while also taking on a leadership role within the organisation.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The primary responsibility of the Visitor Engagement Operations Officer will be to provide leadership and direction for the daily operations of the Visitor Engagement team, including ticket sales, facilitating the exhibition experience and supporting program delivery in the Melbourne Planetarium and Lightning Room. The role is responsible for ensuring all staff provide exceptional customer service to our visitors.
The position also represents the needs of Scienceworks in Museums Victoria planning forums, including exhibition development and events.
Notable skills and experiences:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience in positive problem resolution in a fast-paced environment
- Competency with digital planning tools, such as rostering and time and attendance systems
The successful applicant will be passionate about the role of museums in supporting lifelong learning. They will have extensive experience in customer-focused roles, with prior supervisory experience a plus. They will be an organised worker, with good attention to detail.
