VISITOR EXPERIENCE SUPERVISOR

ACMI is the museum of screen culture. Navigate the universe of film, TV, videogames and art with us. ACMI celebrates the wonder and power of the world’s most democratic artform – fostering the next generation of makers, players and watchers. ACMI’s vibrant calendar of exhibitions, screenings, commissions, festivals, and industry and education programs explore the stories, technologies and artists that create our shared screen culture.

Located in the heart of Melbourne’s Fed Square, ACMI has an exciting part-time ongoing opportunity for you to join the Visitor Experience Team as a Visitor Experience Supervisor. Adept at the end-to-end management of operations within a museum/gallery context, Visitor Experience Supervisors provide on-the-floor guidance to the VX team, helping to problem solve visitor and staff matters, whilst managing operational service delivery to ensure an exceptional visitor experience. Reporting to the People & Operations Manager you will support and supervise staff and volunteers, deliver briefings, training sessions and coaching.

Our ideal team member will have experience managing on-the-floor operations at a public venue, with the ability to confidently manage in a changing environment. You will play a critical role as an advocate for a visitor-first approach at ACMI and be able to deliver a high-quality experience within a museum/cinema/event management context. You will enjoy supervising and supporting a team in a complex and busy customer context.

If successful, you can expect to become part of a talented, committed and creative team of people with a passion for screen culture.  A current Victorian Working with Children Check is required.

To apply, follow the online application process and submit your resume and a cover letter detailing why you are interested in the role (no more than one page please).

Please note interviews will be held on Thursday 5 August 2021 and Friday 6 August 2021.
