The Powerhouse Precinct at Parramatta is one of the largest cultural infrastructure projects currently being undertaken in Australia. The project will transform and renew one of Australia’s oldest and most important cultural institutions and carry forward its legacy to reflect the changing needs of the contemporary communities of NSW. A key element of the project will involve the design of the future visitor experience, onsite and across digital channels.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will be the face of our organisation as you will be involved in delivering and assisting range of public programs and visitor experience activities at the Museum Discovery Centre.
Key highlights of the role:
- Meeting and greeting visitors and be their first point of contact
- Collaborating with internal teams such as ticketing services, volunteers, programs communication, retail and events
- Processing retail sales including cash handling duties and other administrative tasks
- Ensuring safety of collections
- Assist the Visitor Experience Coordinator to support the Education and Digital Learning team to deliver education programs at MDC when required
- Assist with installing and dismantling exhibits
- Assist with the collection of visitor feedback
Note – Working days are Saturday and Sunday. Relevant loading will be added to the salary.
