About the Australian Museum

The Australian Museum (AM) was founded in 1827 and is the first museum in Australia. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. The AM holds more than 18 million objects of biological, geological and cultural collections and develops programs, exhibitions and school and community education initiatives onsite, online and offsite. About the role

The Visitor Services Officer (VSO) is the first point of contact for visitors to the AM and provide a range of services to ensure visitor experience is engaging, positive and memorable. VSO’s support the services to facilitate the operations of their assigned unit and collaborates effectively with other Australian Museum teams. Your interest in and knowledge of Australian history and museums provide a quality visitor experience.
