Position Details

The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) celebrates the screen in its myriad forms. ACMI is a major, publicly funded museum situated in the heart of Melbourne in Federation Square hosting exhibition spaces, galleries, two state of the art cinemas, a Mediatheque and archive plus a shop and cafe. Supported by funding through the Victorian Government, in only a decade it has become the world’s most visited moving image or film cultural centre, attracting over 1.3 million visitors in 2014.

We have an exciting role within our Visitor Services team – engaged in the delivery of a world class experience for visitors attending events, programs and exhibitions at ACMI – for a Visitor Services Supervisor. This is an opportunity to utilise your leadership, operational and customer service skills in a dynamic and exciting arts and culture environment at the world’s leading moving image centre.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Visitor Services Supervisor with highly developed communication skills to join our small team of Supervisors. Reporting to the Visitor Services Manager, in this role you will be primarily responsible for coordinating and supervising our team of front of house, ticketing and retail Visitor Services staff and volunteers, participating in a rotating roster that includes evening and weekend work.

If successful, you can expect to become part of a talented, committed and creative team of people with a passion for film and digital media, in an organisation where our visitor experience and ability to work as part of a team are critical to our success.
