The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) celebrates the screen in its myriad forms. Situated in the heart of Melbourne in Federation Square, ACMI is a major publicly funded museum, hosting exhibition spaces, galleries, cinemas, a Mediatheque and archive plus a shop, cafe and international touring arm. Supported by funding through the Victorian Government, it is the world’s most visited moving image or film cultural centre, attracting over 1.45 million visitors in 15/16.

We have an exciting role within our Visitor Services team – engaged in the delivery of a world class experience for visitors attending events, programs and exhibitions at ACMI – for a Visitor Services Supervisor with a ticketing focus area. This is an opportunity to utilise your interpersonal, technical and customer service skills in a dynamic and exciting arts and culture environment at the world’s leading moving image centre.

We are looking for an experienced Visitor Services Supervisor with highly developed communication skills and a demonstrated history in ticketing, to join our small team of five Supervisors. Primarily responsible for coordinating and supervising a team of Visitor Services staff and volunteers, each Visitor Services Supervisor is responsible for differing areas of operations at ACMI, and this position is one of two that have a dedicated focus on ticketing. While supervising all VS staff rostered at ACMI, the VSS – Ticketing is also responsible for building a high volume of events in Tessitura (ACMI’s CRM & Ticketing system) for both internal and external programs and liaising with a range of stakeholders to ensure delivery is timely. The ticketing supervisors support the ticketing team of VSOs with technical advice and assistance and provide development and training for this small team.

Reporting to the Visitor Services Manager, in this role you will be required to participate in a rotating roster that includes evening and weekend work.

If successful, you can expect to become part of a talented, committed and creative team of people with a passion for film and digital media, in an organisation where our visitor experience is critical to our success.
