Reporting to the Manager, Digital Engagement, the Web Project Manager will play a critical role in managing the Museum’s online presence and shaping its future direction. The role will coordinate a major web transition for the Museum, consolidating existing web profiles (and associated web services) and migrating content into the GovCMS Drupal platform as part of the Digital Infrastructure Program.
The Digital Engagement Team is responsible for public-facing digital experiences onsite and online. The Team manages onsite interactive experiences, social media and the Museum’s online presence, enriching audience experiences, building communities, and improving efficiencies.
The key duties of the position include:
Under the broad supervision of the Manager, Digital Engagement, the Web Project Manager will:
- Manage the transition of MoAD’s existing web presence to GovCMS, coordinating the consolidation and migration of microsites and managing external suppliers (and associated contracts)
- Identify and document requirements, and review product delivery in line with user needs, best practice and Australian Government policies and standards
- Develop and implement best-practice website analytics standards to regularly monitor and report on website performance using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEO and other tools
- Manage resources, budgets, schedules and priorities to deliver high quality projects that meet corporate and section objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, manage and implement online projects
- Develop and implement a schedule of iterative website updates to improve user experience and site performance
- Stay informed on current digital trends, topics, and technology, and identify opportunities applicable to MoAD
- Provide training and support to other staff members in web publishing, SEO, digital technology and products
- Contribute to other projects within the Digital Infrastructure Program including redevelopment of MoAD’s intranet
Eligibility
- Employment with the Museum of Australian Democracy is subject to the following conditions:
- Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with MoAD, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- Security Clearance – The successful applicant will be required to undergo and maintain a security clearance at the baseline level.
