About the section
Questacon’s Centres Experience section is responsible for managing the Questacon Centre ensuring all visitors have great experiences. The section also has responsibility for developing connections with visitors, school groups and members that promote and encourage more audiences to visit and engage with Questacon as a whole. The team comprises of various functions including, Visitor Experiences, Events, Retail, Memberships, Tourism and Group Bookings. These teams maximise day to day operations and drive new business opportunities so more visitors can engage with Questacon.

What you will do
Questacon is looking for multiple APS Level 5 and APS Level 6 staff to support the operational outcomes of our organisation in the two teams that form the Centre Experience section.

Eligibility
The successful applicants of these roles are required to hold and maintain a valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card.
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
Notes
This recruitment process is being used to fill ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies at the APS 6 and 5 Levels, including part-time opportunities. Merit pools may be established to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available within 18 months from the date advertised in the Gazette.
Non-ongoing opportunities may be offered for an initial period of up to 18 months with the possibility of extension (maximum 3 years).
The department offers flexible work opportunities for many roles, however some of the opportunities identified above have place-based requirements. You will work within the scope of the Department’s Enterprise Agreement and other policies. Outside of the usual pattern or work, some of these roles may require some after-hours or weekend work and may involve some interstate and international travel as required.
