ABOUT THE POSITION:
The position is accountable for the provision of advice, creativity and skill to ensure that exhibition structures are delivered to a premium quality, on time and on budget, and to the highest standards of visitor and staff safety.
Notable skills and experiences:
- Knowledge, experience and demonstrated competence in the crafting of highly creative structures for museum exhibitions that are safe, functional and visually appealing
- Demonstrable ability to interpret and effectively implement design drawings, cutting lists and plans
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team
- Experience in the use of a variety of woodworking tools and processes including machining of components, assembly, finishing and site installation
- An understanding of safe work practices within a workshop and construction site.
