The Museum of Applied Arts and Science (MAAS) is Australia’s contemporary museum for excellence and innovation in applied arts and sciences and is uniquely placed to use its collections, disciplines and ideas to demonstrate how applied arts and sciences impact Australia and the world. You will work with a vibrant and dynamic team, developing and delivering world-class media, digital and online production, to ensure our reputation is renowned on the world stage.

This role sits within the Digital and Technology department and specifically within the Digital Studio unit. The role involves web development working with front-end and back-end web technologies, publishing, and content management systems to deliver on the museum’s digital goals.

This role has arisen due to a project that requires the unit to build a suite of technologies that will help to deliver the museums expansive collection to audiences in new and innovative ways.

The ideal candidate will be a web all-rounder comfortable working as part of a small but dynamic team. Knowledge and experience with HTML 5, Javascript, PHP and a LAMP stack is required. Familiarity with WordPress CMS, Git Repository and AngularJS is a plus. To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a degree in ICT or related discipline, or relevant industry experience.

The successful applicant is required to undergo and meet the cost of a National Police Records Check.
