Duties

  • Undertake minor non-trade corrective maintenance, alterations and repairs of TMAG buildings, grounds and equipment.
  • Provide input to the development of work programs and maintenance schedules, and complete work programs with consideration to operational priorities.
  • Supervise and monitor cleaning and grounds maintenance contractors.
  • Provide additional cleaning services in both public and non-public areas across TMAG sites when necessary, including gutters, working at heights and daily perimeter checks at the city site.
  • Undertaking electrical integrity testing, tagging and registering of electrical items across TMAG sites and maintain testing database.
  • Monitor ordering and distribution of cleaning and amenity supplies.
  • Monitor and advise on maintenance and condition of stores, mobile plant, equipment and fleet vehicles and arrange for servicing.
  • Regularly review operational registers including safety data sheets (SDS), cleaning products, chemicals, furniture, equipment and workshop minor assets and arrange external servicing as required.
  • Supervise contractors and arrange inductions and advise the Facilities Coordinator of job progress, quality control and WHS matters.
  • Assist in disaster response and recovery actions in office and public areas and for the protection and preservation of collection items.
  • Assist with setup and pack down of equipment for functions and events.
  • Be familiar with the basic reception duties and support when required.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives and related training, ensuring that quality and safety improvement processes are in place and acted upon.

Essential Requirements

Evidence of the following must be provided prior to appointment to this role:

  • A Current Driver’s Licence – due to the occupant being required to regularly and autonomously travel by vehicle between TMAG sites.

The person must continue to satisfy the above essential requirements/qualifications throughout their employment in this role.

Desirable Requirements

  • Forklift licence
  • Working at heights certificate
  • Electrical integrity testing (test & tag) qualifications
