We are looking for a driven Individual to join our Rare Trades and Programming Team as Manager Rare Trades Centre.
The newly-established Australian Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades in Ballarat is looking for a highly motivated Manager to join a passionate team creating a nationally-significant facility that will celebrate, promote, preserve and pass on the practices of Australia’s rare arts and at-risk trades.
Sitting directly across from the Australian Centre for Gold Rush Collections, the Rare Trades Centre will offer a public program of workshops delivered by leading professional artisans from around Australia and across the world. These workshops, the heart of the Centre’s practice, will sit alongside a vibrant public program that will breathe life into rare trades.

The Successful applicant must have:
- Experience in the management of similar facilities, or extensive related experience in the trades, arts and cultural industry sector and/or business sector.
- Highly developed relationship building and customer service expertise.
- Experience in business development and growth including the demonstrated ability to manage a complex growth orientated business operation.
- Well-developed written and oral skills.
- Success in the preparation and implementation of Business Plans, including managing resources and budgets.
- Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary primarily contracted teams.
Qualification and Checks:
- Qualifications in Trades, Marketing, Education, Cultural Sector and / or Business Management.
- Working with Children Check
- Police Check
- Current Driver’s License.
- Full Covid Vaccination
