Position Details

ACMI is Australia’s national museum of screen culture. Based in Melbourne/*Naarm, it is a place for our communities to navigate the universe of film, TV, videogames and art with us. ACMI celebrates the wonder and power of the screen culture – fostering the next generation of makers, players and watchers. ACMI’s vibrant calendar of exhibitions, screenings, commissions, festivals, and industry and education programs – both in-venue and online – explore the stories, technologies and creators that make our shared screen culture.

Join ACMI as a People & Culture Advisor and support our creative and passionate staff. This is a part-time fixed term job share arrangement (3 days a week until 30 June 2024). The role has been structured so you have a cross over day with the People & Culture Advisor you’ll be sharing the job with – you both work 3 days. The People & Culture (P&C) Advisor supports and delivers a range of P&C activities including providing first line support and advice to managers and employees with a service delivery focus on all people-related touchpoints across the Employee Lifecycle. Each P&C Advisor will also focus on delivering specific initiatives. This half of the job share will coordinate the delivery of ACMI’s training initiatives.

Our ideal team member will have experience working in a similar role with a good working knowledge of current Australian employment legislation and human resource practices. You will have great communication and organisational skills, be approachable and work collaboratively to meet deadlines. A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline is desirable but not essential. Your experience in the use of any of the following systems will be highly regarded – Chris21, Litmos, Springboard or Culture Amp.

If successful, you can expect to become part of a talented, committed and creative team of people with a passion for screen culture. The 3 days are a mix of WFH and on site, ideally worked on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – we’re open to discussing flexibility.
