The Opportunity
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join Museum Victoria’s senior leadership group and more broadly, a dynamic cultural organisation of trusted knowledge and wonderous discovery. Reporting into the General Manager: Marketing and Communications, the Senior Marketing & Brand Manager will lead the marketing team to drive brand awareness, engagement, brand reputation, revenue and visitor attendance across the entire museum portfolio including Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre and the Royal Exhibition Building. You will have oversight of all marketing touchpoints across the PESO (paid, earnt, shared and owned) mix including above the line bought media channels, social media, signage, email marketing and specialty deliverables (Tourism). You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders and manage agency partners, as well as having full accountability of Marketing and Brand spend.
The role description details your required experience in question, with a particular focus on your ability to;
- Effectively plan and implement strategic marketing and brand initiatives, managing spend and reporting on performance.
- Lead the implementation of above the line, below the line, and social media strategies
- Partner and collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Lead, coach, and mentor a high performing marketing team
- Generate and capitalise on creative opportunities, adopting contemporary on-trend marketing and bought media practices to drive interest
