Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking an event professional to assist clients with the successful planning and implementation of large scale events within Museums Victoria’s unique spaces. Additionally, the Senior Event Operations Planner will provide day-to-day provide daily supervision and guidance to the event operations team.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Event Operations Planner are:
- Work as a team leader and provide guidance for the Event Coordinators, Event Operations Supervisors and Event Operations Planners, including daily task allocation and rostering;
- Work with high profile clients to prepare complex customised event documentation including, but not limited to large scale events. Read, review and communicate relevant event information; implement the event plans during the Hire Licence Period;
- Supervise activities within each event venue and surrounding precinct to ensure clients, contractors and event personnel are working in a manner within health and safety requirements, providing a safe environment including acting as Chief, Deputy or Area Warden for emergency evacuations; Ensure any risks and incidents are reported in the appropriate manner;

The successful applicant will hold a tertiary qualification in Event Management or similar, or be able to provide demonstrated experience in a similar role.
