Duties
As the Senior Personnel Officer you will supervise all aspects of payroll processing including salaries, superannuation, taxation, allowances and leave.
You will undertake Payroll matters which include:
- processing salaries, superannuation, allowances, workers compensation payments, and leave using the Museum’s HR information system – Aurion;
- responding to the more complex client queries relating to employment conditions and entitlements; and
- implementing and continually improving the Museum’s personnel processes;
- interpreting APS legislation, the Museum’s workplace agreements and other relevant materials on employment conditions and entitlements and advising Museum management and staff accordingly;
- creating and managing productive working relationships with other areas of the Museum and external service providers to achieve overall goals and make appropriate personnel decisions;
- supporting the HR Systems Administrator as required.
Eligibility

- undergo a number of pre-employment checks, which includes a police records check.

- Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term
- Non-ongoing for 12 months with the possibility of becoming ongoing
- This non-ongoing position may become ongoing in the next 12 months. Should a position become ongoing then the Order of Merit established through this selection process may be used to fill the vacancy on an ongoing basis.
